Taunya Page is a high school theatre teacher, and currently the director of Encore Company at Mountain Home High School in Mountain Home, Idaho. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education (English major, history minor) from Boise State University in December of 1999. In August of 2000, she was hired by Mountain Home High School to teach English and drama; and in 2004, she completed her master's program at Central Washington University, receiving a Master of Arts in Theatrical Production.
In 2010 Mrs. Page expanded theatre opportunities at Mountain Home High School by adding the backstage classes Stagecraft and Costume Design to the program. She has directed over 75 plays during her nineteen-year teaching career, and she looks forward to many more shows to come. Mrs. Page received Idaho State Drama Teacher of the Year in 2018 and 2013 from the Idaho Speech Arts Teachers' Association. She currently has five plays available for productions: Zombies! A Dark Comedy, SUPERHeROES: The Helios Affinity, Beauty and the Beast, Cyrano of the West, and Toy Box. She also has other large-cast plays in the works. She grew up in in Idaho and currently lives there with her wonderful husband. |
